Seann: Do you know who did? Gerard Butler. I worked with him just now, with Brett Ratner and (Johnny) Knoxville, it's a cool movie with all these awesome actors, all short films and I was so excited to meet him, I love that cat.

Q: What was the title?

Seann: Our is called �Happy Birthday'. And I think Daniel Craig is doing one, Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslett are doing one. I think the whole thing is called �Case 49', or something. I'm not sure. But he (Gerard Butler) saw �Woodcock', he thanked me for it! He goes, and Johnny Knoxville was there and Butler goes, 'I just want to say I saw Woodcock last week, thank you for that it was really funny'. And I'm like, What?! You're the only person I've ever met that liked that movie, other than my mom!

Sono talmente tanti da fare fatica ad elencarli tutti: Elizabeth Banks, Gerard Butler , Kieran Culkin , Hugh Jackman , Johnny Knoxville, Christopher Mintz-Plasse , Chloe Moretz , Liev Schreiber , Seann William Scott, Tony Shalhoub, Emma Stone , Matt Walsh, Patrick Warburton, Naomi Watts e Kate Winslet . Questi i nomi degli attori fin’ora confermati nel cast del progetto - momentanemanete privo di titolo - sviluppato da Peter Farrelly e Charles Wessler e co-finanziato da Relativity Media. Il film comico è stato pensato come una raccolta di circa due dozzine di esilaranti sketch, sul genere dei cult anni ‘70 The Kentucky Fried Movie (Ridere per Ridere) di John Landis e The Groove Tube .

Le riprese sono già in corso e continueranno fino alla fine di maggio. Alcuni frammenti sono già pronti ed includono i corti diretti da Peter Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk e Griffin Dunne.

17 registi insieme per un 'film spezzatino'

Quanti registi ci vogliono per girare un film demenziale? Sembra una barzelletta, ma a quanto pare Relativity Media si è appena aggiudicata un contratto per produrre una nuova commedia che verrà girata dalla bellezza di 17 registi. Ognuno di essi produrrà uno spezzone diverso, che andrà a comporre un collage di situazioni alla maniera di alcuni piccoli classici degli anni 70, come Ridere per ridere di John Landis (in cui una sgangherata emittente televisiva era il pretesto per dare vita a una sarabanda di sketch e trovate sempre più assurde). Il rating del film, (R, vale a dire vietato ai minori di 17 anni non accompagnati dai genitori) è stato uno dei motivi per cui la sceneggiatura era stata rifiutata da Hollywood Productions.

Pete Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk, e Griffin Dunne hanno già dato il proprio contributo, mentre il cast include al momento Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Matt Walsh, Tony Shalhoub, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kieran Culkin, Chloe Moretz, e Patrick Warburton. Poiché i singoli spezzoni vengono girati nei "ritagli di tempo" di attori e registi, non è ancora nota la data di uscita.

Sempre a proposito del prossimo ruolo nel film corale , boccaccesco a quanto mi pare di capire, di Gerard : Uno Gnomo sboccato della tradizione irlandese ( tipo satiro ? )

L'unica cosa sicura che ho capito è che si tratterà di una "composizione" di sketch dal linguaggio piuttosto sboccato. Negli articoli si fa menzione di questo FILM come termine di paragone.
Sono curiosa di sapere se questi sketch avranno un filo conduttore o saranno totalmente slegati...

Massive Untitled Comedy Goes To Virgin Produced And Gets A Name?

We’re one step closer to seeing that massive comedy collaboration with Richard Gere, Anton Yelchin, Gerard Butler, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Anna Faris, Johnny Knoxville, Julianne Moore, Liev Schreiber, Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Kate Bosworth, Josh Duhamel, Justin Long, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jack McBrayer, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Uma Thurman. As reported by Deadline, the untitled comedy now belongs to Richard Branson’s latest business endeavor, the new production company Virgin Produced.


The film will consist of 19 segments, 14 of which have been shot. Each piece comes from a different director like Steve Brill, Steve Carr, James Gunn, Peter and Bobby Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Banks and Griffin Dunne. Virgin has a deal with Relativity Media to distribute their films, but Relativity is also co-financing this one.


Could this get any better? Apparently it can. Deadline is also saying that the stellar roster is continuing to grow. The portion the Farrelly brothers directed with Jackman and Winslet is already in the can, so it’s being peddled around to pull in even more talent. That segment is being described as “especially outrageous and R-rated.”

Lastly, a Variety article discussing the launch of Branson’s packaging and production company is calling this film Movie 43. Did the untitled comedy finally get a name? It’s possible, but this is the first I’ve heard of it. Actually, it’s not, but the only other article I found using that title includes details that don’t quite correlate with the facts we have. In a Slash Film piece about Relativity’s new streaming deal with Netflix, one of the film’s on the list to hit Netflix and not a premium television channel is “Movie 43, written and directed by Peter Farely.” Spelling error aside, if they’re talking about the same film here, where are the names of the other directors? The press release also states that the film is set to hit theaters this year. With five more segments to film? I doubt it.

MOVIE hunk Gerard Butler is a picture of elf - as a ginger-bearded LEPRECHAUN.
The Scots actor plays the foul-mouthed Irish fairy in a new fantasy flick, for which he will be digitally shrunk.


ButlerHe was snapped on the set of the as yet untitled film - the brainchild of There's Something About Mary director Peter Farrelly.

The flick features an all-star cast including Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and Naomi Watts.

Bounty Hunter star Butler's character Chaun regularly lets rip with a stream of x-rated insults.

And he gets kidnapped by Jackass star Johnny Knoxville and American Pie actor Seann William Scott's bad guy characters - who want to steal his pot of gold.

The pictures of Glasgow-born Butler decked out in costume appeared on the web yesterday.



Scream legend ... star Butler wooed fans in action movie 300Much of the movie is being shot on a "green screen" - with Butler's head being put onto a digital image of the little character.

He recently said of Chaun: "I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine.

"I've been kidnapped by Knoxville and Scott so they can get their pot of gold. They don't realise what they've bargained for. It's very funny - it's insane."

Moviemax ha presentato il listino 2011 alle Giornate Professionali di Cinema di Sorrento, molto variegato, tra film come Knockout, Dylan Dog, il nuovo Riddick e una commedia molto particolare...

Si è appena tenuta alle Giornate Professionali di Cinema di Sorrento la convention Moviemax, dove sono stati presentati tutti i titoli 2011 della casa di distribuzione. Ecco il resoconto di ColinMcKenzie:

MOVIEMAX
Arrivo in leggero ritardo alla convention Moviemax e quindi mi perdo qualcosa.
Film italiano al femminile è Come trovare l'uomo giusto nel modo sbagliato, che non sembra male, ma temo non troverà un pubblico.
Shelter con Julianne Moore rientra nel filone thriller paranormale, non sembra un capolavoro, ma qualche soldo potrebbe farlo. Knockout viene presentato in video dal suo regista Steven Soderbergh, che in particolare parla della protagonista Gina Carano, un'eroina d'azione che non fa pensare a un film alla Soderbergh, quindi in realtà perfetto per la sua versatilità. Poi c'è Riddick, un reboot fortemente voluto da Vin Diesel, che si è comprato i diritti della serie. Il film è stato comprato dalla Moviemax in base a un trattamento di sole 4 righe.

Infine, il pezzo forte del listino sembra una nuova commedia (ancora senza titolo) presentata come il nuovo film dei fratelli Farrelly, ma in realtà diviso in dieci episodi diretti - oltre che Peter Farrelly - anche da Elizabeth Banks, Steve Carr, James Duffy, Brett Ratner. Il cast è mostruoso, e contiene nomi del calibro di Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler, Richard Gere, Julianne Moore, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts.

In uno degli episodi Kate Winslet è una signora dell'alta borghesia e Hugh Jackman un uomo d'affari, entrambi single. I loro amici combinano un appuntamento e lei quando lo vede non riesce a credere alla sua fortuna, fino a quando lui non si toglie la sciarpa e si scopre che sulla gola ha... un paio di testicoli e uno scroto. La cosa divertente è che, a parte il personaggio di lei, nessuno sembra sconvolto dalla cosa. Inutile dire che non mancano le situazioni imbarazzanti, come quando lui bacia lei sulla fronte (immaginate cosa succede...)( )
. La pellicola uscirà nel 2011, ma non c'è ancora una data precisa. Infine, vengono mostrati i 20 minuti di Dylan Dog che abbiamo già visto a Roma...
